A man cashed checks worth $555 using his dad's forged signature, police said.
Nathan D. Coon cashed three forged checks at the Lafayette Ambassador Bank branch at 280 Line St., Easton, on Feb. 19 and 20 and May 14, officials said.
Coon's mother reported to police on May 14 that the bank had informed her of the forged checks being cashed by her son, officials added.
Coon, 19, of 823 West Young St., Easton, was arraigned Saturday on a forgery charge and released on $2,500 unsecured bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. July 5.
