Slippery roads blamed for vehicle crash
Updated On: Jan 03 2014 04:41:43 PM CST
A vehicle plunged down an embankment Tuesday as a result of slippery road conditions.
Jonathan Raby, the 23-year-old driver of the 2002 Ford Focus told officials that he spun out of control due to the roads being slippery.
The road was wet from an earlier snow fall.
His car went off the roadway and into a wooded area.
The vehicle sustained minimal damage, police say.
The driver was wearing his seatbelt and did not sustain any injuries.
He did not need medical attention.
Police report the driver was driving at a safe speed so he would not be charged.
Schlier's Towing was dispatched to pull the vehicle up the embankment and the car was in driveable condition after the crash.
Raby was able to drive his vehicle away from the scene.
The crash occurred on Lower Lakeview Dr. in Middle Smithfield Twp.
