HANOVER TWP., Pa. -

Roof concerns temporarily shut down the Wegman's supermarket in Hanover Township, Northampton County, from Saturday night in Sunday afternoon.

The store was finally set to reopen at 2:30 p.m. Sunday after an assessment by engineers determined the roof was safe.

A dispatcher with the Northampton County 911 call center said the Wegmans, located just off Route 512, was closed Saturday night due to concerns over the weight of snow on its roof.

Wegmans is just one of several buildings in the area that have had troubles with the mounting snow and ice. In Lehigh County,

Amazon.com's Upper Macungie distribution center sent employees home Saturday due to concerns over a sagging roof.
