Relive the history with the reading of The Declaration of Independence

History's Headlines: George Taylor House


The George Taylor House will be the crowd-pleasing place to attend on Independence Day.

The honorable tribute to America will begin with the reading of The Declaration of Independence at 10am followed by an Honor Guard Salute from American Legion Post 215.

Bandmaster GySgt Kenneth J. Serfass USMC will conduct the Antebellum Marine Band playing music from a wide ranged repertoire.


The band is made up of adult musicians and select high school musicians creating music sure to please.

Guided tours of the George Taylor House and The Biery House will be open from 9am- noon.

Children tickets are free of charge and adult tickets are $4 suggested donation.
