Save a tree, earn an energy efficient light bulb!
When PPL electric customers agree to go paperless, the company will give them one free LED light bulb.
PPL officials said LEDs help reduce energy costs because they use up to 80 percent less energy than incandescent bulbs and may last up to 20 times longer.
The free bulb, sent to customers who sign up by Dec. 15, produces more than 800 lumens of soft white light--about the same as a 60-watt incandescent bulb.
PPL said current customers can receive one free bulb, while supplies last, and the bulb will arrive via mail within 4-6 weeks.
Existing paperless customers are not eligible.
Customers need to use their online account to enroll in paperless billing. Those that don't have one, can easily create one.
