Authorities say Good Samaritans played a key role in nabbing the two alleged criminals who attacked a Chinese food delivery man.

Two men were collared after carjacking a food delivery car and leading Allentown police on a chase that ended with one of the suspects being tased in Salisbury Township, police said.

Jared Irvin, 20, of Allentown and Hector Lopez, of New York, were arrested and face numerous charges, police said.

One of the suspects punched a delivery driver for the Happy Garden Restaurant  and the two stole his car at around 1 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of North Penn Street, police said.

A witness followed the car and called authorities, police said.

Police spotted the car in the area of South Fifth Street and Emmaus Avenue and eventually forced it to stop in the 4000 block of Vera Cruz Road in Salisbury Township.

Lopez, who was a passenger, tried to run away, but was captured after being tased, police said.

The driver, Irvin, was immediately captured and busted with three packs of pot, police said.
