PHILADELPHIA -

A federal judge has ordered a Bethlehem man to spend more than 12 years in prison for distributing, receiving and possessing child pornography.

Federal agents found hundreds of images and dozens of videos depicting child pornography on Niyaz Sainudeen's computer during a March 8, 2012 search of his home.

The search followed a July 2011 incident in which Sainudeen engaged in a chat session with an undercover agent and gave the agent access to a password-protected folder containing child pornography.

Sainudeen was later arrested at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City as he attempted to flee to his native India.

Sainudeen, 42, pleaded guilty to two counts of distributing child pornography, one count of receipt of child pornography, and one count of possessing child pornography.

In addition to his prison sentence, Sainudeen was ordered to pay $10,000 restitution and spend five years on supervised release.
