Deadly Route 145 crash remains under investigation

A 65-year-old woman died and two other people were seriously injured in a two-car wreck in Lehigh County Saturday.

State Police said the head-on crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on Route 145 and Clearview Road in North Whitehall Township.

The crash happened when a car driven by 19-year-old Courtney Quinn of Walnutport crossed into the opposing lane of traffic and hit a car driven by 65-year-old Jennifer Ebert of Walnutport.


Police said Ebert later died at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. The coroner said an autopsy will be performed Monday to determine the exact cause of death.

Quinn and a juvenile female passenger in Ebert's car sustained serious injuries and were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest.

As of Sunday morning, the crash remained under police investigation.

Route 145 in the area of the accident remained closed for about six hours while crews cleared the wreck and police investigated.
