EASTON, Pa. -

A man who was wanted on a warrant led police to his door by threatening his girlfriend with a knife, officials said.

David J. Ostrander put a knife to his girlfriend's neck after threatening to cut her throat during an argument they were having in their home in the 700 block of Jackson Street in Easton around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, officials said.

Ostrander's girlfriend went to a neighbor's to call police, and after they patted down Ostrander, they discovered he was wanted on a warrant out of Northampton County, officials said.

Court papers do not say when the warrant was issued, or why.

Ostrander, 48, was arraigned on charges of aggravated and simple assault and reckless endangerment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $2,500 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. Dec. 5.
