EASTON, Pa. -

A 23-year-old Allentown man is facing charges after police said he used stolen credit cards at a Northampton County convenience store.

According to police documents, during the overnight hours of Oct. 26-27, 2013, someone broke into a locked vehicle parked at the Holiday Inn Express at 90 Kunkle Drive in Easton.

The thief took a purse containing cash, a Wells Fargo Visa card, a Capitol One Mastercard and several other items, belonging to a Virginia woman.

Around 4:15 a.m. on Oct. 27., the stolen Visa card was used to buy $58.33 in gas at the Schoenersville Shell Station, at 2130 Schoenersville Road in Hanover Twp., police said.

The stolen Mastercard was used inside the convenience store to buy cigarettes and food totalling $72.45.

Reviewing surveillance video, police said a young, Hispanic male made the purchases, along with a second, unknown Hispanic male, and they left the gas station in a dark colored Toyota Camry. Police ran the license plates and found they were registered to Michelle Tirado of Allentown.

Police emailed the surveillance photos to probation offices in Northampton and Lehigh counties.

On January 29, a Lehigh County probation officer identified the man using the credit cards as Isaias Lopez of 117 S. Fourth St., according to court documents. The officer told police he was supervising Lopez for probation. The offense was not mentioned.

The probation officer also told police that Lopez lives with his girlfriend, Michelle Tirado, in Allentown.

Lopez was arrested Thursday and charged with access device fraud, identity theft and theft by deception.

He was committed to the Northampton County Prison after being unable to post $20,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for March 25.
