A report of shots fired led Allentown police to a man who allegedly had a gun Tuesday night.
The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Pine Street in Allentown.
Police said when they got to the scene, they saw two groups of three men who were walking on Pine Street.
One man, identified as 25-year-old Joesaynel Garcia, was seen by police walking on the south side of Pine Street, who dropped a dark-colored item over a knee-high concrete wall into a backyard in the 200 block of North Second Street.
Police said the item was a black handgun, which still had a live round of ammunition in the chamber and a round missing from the magazine.
The handgun had been reported stolen.
Officers took Garcia into custody, and found out he was on state parole for a previous offense.
Garcia, with no current address, was charged with person not to possess a firearm, receiving stolen property-firearm, firearms carried without a license,
He was taken to the Lehigh County Prison after being unable to post $250,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 2.
