Richard Miller killed by car in Tatamy

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car in Northampton County early Monday morning, police said.

TATAMY, Pa. -

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car early Monday morning in Tatamy, Northampton County.

The victim was identified as Richard Miller, 71, from the 600 block of High Street in Tatamy.

The victim was crossing the street in the area of 8th Street and Commerce Lane in Tatamy around 6 a.m. when hit by a car driven by Emily Fenstermaker, of Tatamy, according to a news release.

Miller died at the scene.

Northampton County Coroner Zach Lysek reported Miller died of multiple blunt force trauma resulting from being struck. 

The coroner ruled the death was accidental.
