Bethlehem police have charged a man in connection with an alleged meth lab that caused a fire last week.
Police said 45-year-old Christopher S. Dixon was arrested Friday and charged with operating a meth lab, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, causing catastrophe, and other charges.
The fire broke out in two separate apartments at 746 Linden Street in Bethlehem on Thursday.
According to police, Bethlehem firefighters found evidence of a meth lab on the third floor and in the basement of the building.
The fire was reported around 12:30 p.m. and was contained to the third floor.
Dixon was arraigned Saturday. He was taken to Northampton County Prison after being unable to post $50,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 23.
Police said the investigation is continuing and additional arrests are expected.
