BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

A woman who became angry with her husband during an argument over her family chomped on his face, officials said.

Linda M. Yanega bit her husband in the face while he was lying on a couch in their home in the 3200 block of Garrett Circle in Bethlehem around 11:25 p.m. Friday, officials said.

Yanega told police she "abused" her husband of 23 years because "[he] was being nasty, so I became nasty back," officials noted.

Yanega's husband was found with blood on both sides of his face, with minor cuts on the right side and a bruise on the left, officials said.

Yanega, 51, was charged early Saturday morning with assault and harassment and released on $10,000 unsecured bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Dec. 6.
