Lehigh University in Bethlehem ranks fourth among 81 Pennsylvania colleges that offer students the highest lifetime return on their investment.
Lafayette College in Easton is not far behind, in sixth place.
The list was released Monday by AffordableCollegesOnline.org. It states the listing focuses on "Pennsylvania institutions of higher learning that give you the best return on investment: low net costs (tuition and fees) plus high lifetime earnings."
In first place is Haverford College in Haverford, followed by Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh in second and University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in third.
Graduates from Haverford will earn $1.2 million more than non-degree holders over 30 years, according to the list. Lehigh graduates will earn $1.14 million more and Lafayette grads will earn $1.11 million more.
Ranked fifth between Lehigh and Lafayette is Swathmore College in Swathmore.
Pennsylvania State University in State College came in 10th place in the listing.
Other area schools among the top 50 include: Muhlenberg College in Allentown (13), Albright College in Reading (20), Moravian College in Bethlehem (26) and East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg (46).
