Lehigh University is entering another agreement with an area community college to accept transfer students.
On Tuesday, Lehigh officials announced the agreement with Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) that will make it easier for MCCC students to transfer to Lehigh after earning their two-year associates degree.
With the new agreement, MCCC students will have the opportunity for admission into a bachelor's degree program at Lehigh University. Students must maintain a 3.5 GPA and satisfy Lehigh transfer admission requirements.
This is the second agreement in two years between Lehigh University and a local community college. In February of 2012, Lehigh and Northampton Community College in Bethlehem Twp. inked the first such agreement.
MCCC is located in Whitpain Twp.
