A Lehigh County man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and then threatening his parents with an axe hammer, according to police.

Max Rolon, 23, of the 5000 block of Buss Drive in Upper Milford Township, was drinking whiskey inside his home with an 18-year-old girlfriend when they got into a verbal altercation.

Rolon pushed his girlfriend, causing her to fall onto and break a glass table, according to police. The woman was taken to the hospital for a small laceration to her head.

Before police took Rolon into custody, he allegedly approached his parents with an axe hammer. Police said Rolon's father was able to wrestle him to the ground and restrain him.

Charges against Rolon include simple assault, corruption of minors, furnishing liquor to a minor, harassment, making terroristic threats and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rolon was committed to Lehigh County Prison after failing to post $50,000 bail.
