A woman has been charged for stealing money and gold jewelry from a man as they left a bar two weeks ago, officials said.

Latoyra L. Campbell was caught on city surveillance video running away after grabbing a $100 bill from the pocket of Matthew Phillips and ripping a gold necklace from his neck as they left the Brick House Tavern, 1428 Butler St., Easton, just before 1 a.m. May 9, officials said.

Campbell had both the C-note and the necklace, with strands of hair in it, when she was stopped by police as she ran along Butler Street, officials said,

Campbell told police she found the money and necklace on the street, but Phillips claimed Campbell had robbed him of $200 and the necklace, officials said.

Campbell, 32, of 506 Northampton St., Easton, was arraigned Saturday night on robbery and theft charges and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $7,500 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. May 29.
