Kids learn police work

OREFIELD, Pa. -

What does it take to be a police officer? Ninety kids are at Camp Fowler this week to find out.

Pennsylvania State Police Troop M is hosting Camp Cadet -- a free one-week youth camp on Horseshoe Road in Orefield, Lehigh Co.

Tyler Lapham is one of the selected CADETS.

"I'm here to learn more about law enforcement and see all the stuff I may be able to do in the future," he said.

From Sunday until June 21st, cadets will go through obstacles, play sports and learn about team work.

Trophies will be handed out at the end of the week.

Camp Cadet is offered every year for kids ages 12 to 15.
