BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

A New York man hit on a casino slot machine, but only won some time in prison and a date in court, officials said.

John Kim, who also goes by the name Jung Nam Kim, was seen on surveillance video striking a slot machine with his fist at the Sands casino, 77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem, and shattering a $1,510 video display screen at about 1 a.m. Monday, officials said.

Kim admitted to damaging the slot machine screen after he was brought back from outside the casino, where he was waiting for a bus, officials said.

Kim, 63, of 46-13 43rd Ave., Woodside, N.Y., was arraigned on charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $3,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. May 31.
