A man is facing charges after being found with prescription drugs in a Advil bottle when police were serving him with an arrest warrant three weeks ago, officials said.
Joel E. Rubas had the 16 tablets of the sedative zolpidem and 10 tablets of the anti-anxiety drug alprazolam in a travel-size Advil bottle that police discovered when they were patting him down for weapons in front of his home at 1103 Roosevelt St., Bangor, Northampton Co., around 8:15 p.m. Sept. 5, officials said.
Court papers do not describe the nature of the arrest warrant being served on Rubas.
Rubas, 32, was arraigned Monday night on drug possession charges and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $20,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
