An Allentown man was busted with heroin packets worth nearly $10,000, police said.
According to court documents, arrangements were made by police with a cell phone to buy a quantity of heroin at a predetermined location on February 6.
Police said they watched 24-year-old Jimmy Guillen of the 900 block of Wyoming Street leave the rear of his building and get into a white car, which was followed to a parking lot.
Police stopped the car, and Guillen gave police verbal consent to search the car, where police said they found a clear plastic bag containing around 990 wax packets, each containing a tan powder.
In a field test the powder tested positive for heroin, police said, with a street value of $9,900.
Guillen was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver, simple possession and criminal use of a communications facility.
