IronPigs' drumline: Designated Hitters

Youth Education in the Arts

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are looking for a few good drummers. Are you game?

Teaming up with Youth Education in the Arts (YEA!), the IronPigs are bringing back the popular Designated Hitters Drumline to provide game day entertainment for a second season.

An open audition will be held Sunday, Jan. 19 from 1-4 p.m. at Coca-Cola Park.

The 15-member drumline will be a featured act at 15 home games, and will welcome fans to Coca-Cola Park in the parking lot and at the main entrance gates before games.

The Designated Hitters range in age from 16-25 and are paid a small stipend for each performance.

Potential members should have three to five years of experience, and be available for weekly rehearsals and performances.

During a three-minute audition, performers will be evaluated on both technical percussion skills and showmanship.
