LOWER MOUNT BETHEL TOWNSHIP, Pa. -

One person suffered a minor injury Monday when his windshield was struck by ice falling from another vehicle.

State Police said the incident occurred shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Martins Creek Belvidere Highway in Lower Mount Bethel Township.

Police said ice from a utility trailer traveling westbound became dislodged from the trailer and struck the windshield of a Peterbuilt tractor trailer, which was traveling east. The windshield was shattered by the ice.

The driver of the tractor trailer, 55 year-old John Richard of Schuylkill Haven, was treated at the scene for a minor injury. The passenger, Joshua Richard, 33, of Leesport, was not hurt, according to police. It was not immediately clear if there is any relation between the two men.

Police say the utility trailer continued to travel westbound. The vehicle is described as a grey pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet, with a white utility trailer. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at 610-759-6106.
