Meth lab suspects heading to trial in Northampton County

Four defendants charged with operating a meth lab in Hellertown have waived their right to a preliminary hearing and may be preparing to enter guilty pleas, according to a lawyer representing one of them.

Nick Reynolds, Chad Hummer, Joan Hummer and Lindsey Zacot were arrested in an early morning police raid on Aug. 20.

The four were arraigned on 11 charges of manufacturing methamphetamine inside a house at 166 Main St. in Hellertown.

Reynolds is Joan Hummer's son.

Atty. Jeremy Clark, who represents Reynolds, told Channel 69 News plea deals are in the works for all four defendants, but he would not elaborate.

Staff in Magisterial District Judge David Tidd's office in Lower Saucon Township reported all four defendants waived their right to a preliminary hearing Monday.
