Shot fired into home

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Allentown police are investigating, following gunfire into an occupied home.

Police said it happened just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of West Cumberland Street.

Three people were home when a bullet was fired into the building, according to police.

No one was hit.

Police said they are trying to identify a suspect and if this home was being specifically targeted.

A resident of the home, who does not want her name released, said she was home with her son and young grandson at the time of the shooting. She said the bullet went through the front door, passed through a wall and bounded off a door frame before landing in a child's toy bin.

The woman said she believes the shooting is tied to a parking dispute in the neighborhood. She said she was not involved in the dispute.

Anyone with information is asked to call Allentown police.
