EASTON, Pa. -

A Bethlehem woman faces charges after police say she was drunk when she backed into a police car.

Janelle Mammana, 24, of 2310 Johnston Drive, was driving when the accident occurred around 2 a.m. Wednesday in the Centre Square in downtown Easton.

Police said she backed into a parked police car, and when they approached her, she had an odor of an alcoholic beverage, slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and unsteady balance.

She failed field sobriety tests and a preliminary breath test, police said.

She was arrested for DUI and sent to the Northampton County DUI Center in Easton.
