Dispute over car lands Lehigh County man in jail

Shots rang out in the borough of Catasauqua.


A domestic dispute over a car turned violent Tuesday, and a Lehigh County man is  facing felony charges.

Erica Allen and William Isander Serrano Febres were arguing over the use of a car, police said. As Allen, 42, tried to leave their home on Lehigh Street in Catasauqua, Febres, 33, fired several shots from a gun into the car, police said.

The car became disabled in a snowbank around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and Febres retrieved the car after she fled, police said.


When he drove the car back to their home, Catasauqua police took him into custody.

Lehigh Street in the area of the incident was closed for around five hours Tuesday.

No injuries were reported.

Febres faces charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. He was commited to Lehigh County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.
