BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. -

A Northampton County man learned the hard way not to open the door for someone you don't know.

Bethlehem Police said the incident happened around 12:50 a.m. Friday at an apartment complex in the 6000 block of William Penn Highway in Bethlehem Twp.

Forty-two-year-oldĀ  Craig Cobian told police he opened the door of his apartment when the doorbell rang.

There stood a black man who immediately stabbed Cobian in the stomach with a sharp stomach, police said. The stabber then ran away in an easterly direction toward the Park and Ride lot on William Penn Highway.

Cobian was taken to St. Luke's Anderson Campus for treatment of his injuries.

The suspect was about 6 feet tall, in his 30s, wearing jeans and a black hoodie.
