Allentown Roommates died of mixed drug overdose

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

The deaths of two men, who were found in an Allentown home, are not suspicious as officials initially suspected.

The bodies of 32-year-old Curtis Warmkessel and 43-year-old Chadd Wirth were found inside the home they shared at 135 W. Long St. on Oct 2.

At the time, the Lehigh County coroner's office called the deaths suspicious and confirmed there was nothing obvious that happened.

Autopsies were conducted the following day, but officials had to await results of toxicology tests.

On Thursday, the coroner's office ruled that each man died of a mixed drug overdose.

As a result of an investigation by the coroner's office, Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin and Allentown police, the deaths were ruled an accident, and there was no foul play or suspicious circumstances involved.
