BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

A man who asked an acquaintance for a share of his prescription medications wouldn't take no for an answer.

Christopher A. Ohm snatched a bottle of prescription medication from the left front pocket of John Stapinski's sweat pants while Stapinski was standing in the driveway of a home in the 400 block of West Garrison St., Bethlehem, at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, officials said.

Ohm grabbed the bottle after Stapinski had refused to give Ohm some of his medications, officials said, adding that Ohm and Stapinski knew one another.

Ohm made his move after Stapinski became distracted by some children he was watching.

Ohm, 27, of 813 Cherokee St., Fountain Hill, Lehigh County, was arraigned early Wednesday morning on charges of robbery and receiving stolen property and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $3,500 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. July 26.
