ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A 38-year-old man is facing a long list of charges after an incident in Allentown Sunday.

Police said they responded to a home in the 2600 block of S. Church St. around 8 p.m. for a 'check on welfare' call. The person who called police had received a text from the victim.

Police met Chris Dunbar and the victim inside the house, and after struggling with police, Dunbar was taken into custody.

He's facing the following charges: criminal attempted homicide, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, and resisting arrest.

Police said there was a prior relationship between the victim and Dunbar.

Dunbar is being held in the Lehigh County Prison on $700,000 bail.
