Heather O'Dowd of Catasauqua has been charged with promoting prostitution and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was arrested by Allentown police shortly after 10 pm. Wednesday in a room at the Super 8 motel, 1033 Airport Road.

O'Dowd advertised a sexual encounter in exchange for money on the classified website, according to the criminal complaint against her. She displayed provocative photos of herself on the site.

Police vice investigators texted the phone number that accompanied the advertisement and arranged a $200-an-hour sexual encounter with two women.

An undercover police officer met O'Dowd outside the motel and walked with her to Room 208.

Inside the room, according to police, O'Dowd and another female, identified as Tina Bonetsky, agreed to perform oral sex and sexual intercourse for $200.

After the police officer gave the women the money, detectives entered the room and detained them.

Police found a syringe used for injecting heroin in O'Dowd's purse.

The 36-year-old woman, who resides in the 700 block of 5th Street in the borough, is in Lehigh County Prison. Bail was set at $2,500.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Lehigh County Courthouse in Allentown.

Police reports did not indicated what charges, if any, were filed against Bonetsky.
