A Bethlehem man was seriously injured early Saturday morning after being stabbed during an argument over drugs, police said.
Police said they were called out to the stabbing victim's home on the 800 block of Morton Street around 1:30 a.m.
Nicholas Bossons, of Bethlehem, had gone to to the stabbing victim's home to meet for an apparent cocaine deal, but retaliated when the stabbing victim told him he did not have the drug, according to Police Chief Mark DiLuzio.
Bossons stabbed the man multiple times and punctured a major artery in the leg. The stabbing victim is listed in serious condition at St. Luke's Hospital.
Bossons was later located during a separate police call a short time later when officers were called to the 900 block of East Fourth Street for an argument between a man and woman, DiLuzio said.
When officers arrived, they saw blood on Bossons' hands and clothes. While being taken into custody, Bossons punched a cop in the face, cracking his lip and causing swelling, DiLuzio said.
After being taken into custody, Bossons admitted to the stabbing, according to police.
"The suspect said he was disrespected and committed the stabbing to earn street credit," DiLuzio said.
Bossons faces numerous charges, including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and possession of an instrument of crime. He was also charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.
He is being held at Northampton County Prison on $150,000.
