ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Michael Cerruti of Allentown, has been charged for knowingly and intentionally possessing and transporting images depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, in violation of Title 18, of the United States code.

In an arrest warrant issued by the United States District Court of Eastern Pa., FBI special agent, William G. Smith, testified that on April 10 at about 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m., a Law Enforcement Official (LEO) acting under cover entered two online chat rooms where he saw forum member "Manson", subsequently identified as Michael Cerruti, posting images of child erotica and two images of child pornography.

The officer also saw Cerruti commenting on images posted by other chat forum members.

According to Smith, he reviewed the images preserved by the LEO and determined that they depicted child pornography as defined by title 18 United States code 2256.

The images, which were very graphic, according to Smith, showed minors, including a toddler in one case, in various compromising sexual positions and conduct.

On July 16,  the Honorable Henry S. Perkin, United States Magistrate Judge Eastern District of Pa., issued a search warrant which was executed in Allentown at Cerruti's known residence at about 6 a.m.

Officers arrived at Cerruti's Allentown home where they recovered a silver and black Dell laptop hidden behind a couch.

A forensic search on the laptop revealed over 300 images of suspected child  pornography and three videos containing suspected child pornography.

In two separate interviews, FBI special Agent Smith and Pa. Office of Attorney General Child Predator Unit Special Agent, Justin Leri, after advising Cerruti of his right to seek an attorney, gathered from Cerruti the details of his graphic online activities.

Cerruti, who agreed to speak with the agents without a lawyer present, admitted possessing child pornography on his laptop but thought he had deleted all the pornographic images.

Cerruti, who called his own actions "stupid and dumb," described some of the graphic images and videos to the officers and admitted he had masturbated two to three times viewing child pornography.

He also said the images posted to those online forums prove how depraved society is and said he should have payed more attention to the television show "To Catch a Predator."
