A pilot was taken to a local hospital after his small airplane flipped on the runway at the Slatington Airport in Lehigh County.
A spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration, which is investigating the accident, said the pilot was landing the small, single-engine Cessna L-19 when it flipped on the runway at 12:08 p.m. Thursday.
Staffers at the Lehigh County Communications Center, who dispatched firefighters and EMS personnel to the airport, had no details about what caused the accident or the nature of the pilot's injuries.
We're told the pilot, who was the only person on board, suffered minor injuries.
Officials say the incident did not affect any other flights at the airport.
