Wilson School Board denies plans for business charter school

WILSON, Pa. -

A Northampton County school district has shot down plans for a business charter school.

In November, the Business and Entrepreneurship Academy Charter High School submitted an application to the Wilson Area School Board.

Now the board has responded with a resolution denying the plans.  Board members say the charter school's planned curriculum doesn't offer anything beyond what's already offered in the Wilson School District.

The board also said the school failed to prove that borough residents support the proposal.
