Tyree Wimberly, 21, killed in Bethlehem shooting

Bethlehem police are investigating a deadly shooting outside Scoobie's Gentleman's Club -- an establishment that neighbors said is the scene of frequent late-night fights.
The victim was 21-year-old Tyree Wimberly, of 2341 S. Alice St., in Allentown, according to the Lehigh County coroner's office, which ruled his death a homicide.
The shooting happened just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday after what police described as an "altercation."
One neighbor heard three gunshots. Police said the victim's body was found behind a back exit to the club.
"That's kind of scary," said Laurie Stark, who lives just behind the club. "That's really close."
Stark and several other neighbors said fights are common there late at night.
"If I'm passing through there, there's usually stuff going on there," said neighbor Joey Tenebruso.
Stark added: "Fighting and arguing around like 2 a.m. when they let out. They argue along the street there … I haven't really seen any violence other than last night."
Scoobie's is a B.Y.O.B. establishment that's supposed to close at midnight, but many of those who live nearby said crowds are usually there well after that time.
"There's cars there and stuff and you can hear people on the inside," said Tenebruso.
Scoobie's only recently opened -- a move fought by several neighbors in late 2011.
The building at 2327 Hanover Avenue has been the site of several B.Y.O.B strip clubs over the years, including Goodfellas, Sin City, and the Red Zone. Some of those clubs had unsuccessfully fought for later closing hours.
"It closes down for a few months, somebody else buys it, and they re-open," said Stark.
Many neighbors did not want to talk on-camera because of previous battles with the club's current and former owners.
Martin said police have interviewed several people, but wasn't sure if anyone actually witnessed it. He said it does not appear any surveillance cameras captured the incident.
