A Bethlehem man is facing charges after police found 45 bags of heroin and marijuana on him following a traffic stop three months ago, officials said.

Stephen Pearson, 21, of the 2300 block of East Boulevard, was arrested after police saw him driving his car faster than the speed limit and rolling through a stop sign at Centre and West Lincoln streets in Easton at about 4:25 a.m. Oct. 26, officials said.

Pearson admitted he was driving with a suspended license when he was stopped at Centre and Williams streets, officials said.

Police found a small bag of marijuana and 27 wax paper bags of heroin in Pearson's coat pockets, said officials, adding that 18 more bags of heroin were found in his gray 2009 Honda Accord.

Pearson was arraigned Wednesday night on charges of drug possession, driving with a license suspended for DUI, and ignoring a stop sign and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $25,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Jan. 30.
