The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ordered a convicted teen killer from Easton to be re-sentenced.
Qu'eed Batts was 14-years-old when he killed 16-year-old C.J. Edwards in 2006. He was convicted and sentenced to life in prison.
The U.S. Supreme Court, however, ruled last year that juvenile offenders can't be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
As a result, the issued a ruling Tuesday that vacated Batts' life sentence.
Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli said a judge could again give Batts life in prison or a lesser sentence. A sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
