A man was arrested after admitting he tried to break into a convenience store because he needed money, officials said.
Deon Robinson smashed the front door windows and then ripped off the door of the King Mart at 154 West St. Joseph St., Easton, at 2 a.m. Saturday, officials said.
Robinson told police he was broke and that he had taken the drug ecstasy, they added.
Robinson, 21, of 167 West Nesquehoning St., Easton, was arraigned on charges of burglary, criminal mischief and public drunkenness and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $10,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Nov. 16.
