PEN ARGYL, Pa. -

A man is facing charges after he broke into a home and damaged a TV set with a claw hammer about a month ago and then threatened the victim, officials said.

Abdiel Ruiz-Roque used a claw hammer to smash a flat-screen TV and a nearby wall in the home of Kyle A. Kleintop at 631 George St., Pen Argyl, Northampton Co., at about 4:15 p.m. Dec. 23, 2012 , officials said.

Five days later, Ruiz-Roque made two cell phone calls to Kleintop, and during the second one he threatened to "come down with my Bloods and shoot up your house," officials said.

Police were told by a male juvenile in the home that Ruiz-Roque forcibly entered Kleintop's home with a female juvenile, went into the kitchen, found the claw hammer, and used it to strike the TV screen and the wall, officials said, adding that the female juvenile picked up the TV and threw it to the floor.

Ruiz-Roque and the female juvenile then fled in a car driven by Allison M. West, who later told police Ruiz-Roque threw the claw hammer out of the rear passenger's side window of her Lexus, officials said.

West also said that the female juvenile was looking for Kleintop because he owed $50 to her and a friend, they added.

When police interviewed the female juvenile in the presence of her mother, she denied damaging Kleintop's TV -- until officers confronted her with Facebook messages she had sent to Kleintop offering to compensate him for the damage.

Ruiz-Roque, 22, of 1338 Eastwood Road, Bethlehem, was arraigned early Friday morning on charges of burglary, intimidation of a witness, criminal trespass, corruption of minors and criminal mischief and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $25,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Feb. 1.
