One of three men who took a set of tires from a car parked on the street is facing charges, officials said.

Luis A. Mendoza was identified by a witness as one of a trio of men who jacked up a Toyota in the 700 block of Wood Street in Bethlehem, removed the driver's side wheels and left the car on concrete blocks at about 1:40 a.m. Saturday, said officials, adding that a jack and two concrete blocks were left on the passenger's side.

A juvenile who participated in the robbery also was identified by the witness, officials said.

The car's owner, Luis Collazo, 729 Wood St., said the stolen tires were worth $1,000 each, officials said.

Mendoza admitted at headquarters to taking the tires, said officials, adding that Mndoza was found with marijuana in a cigar wrapper when he was picked up.
