Lehigh Valley girl competes in "Toddlers and Tiaras" pageant
Five year-old Lacey Beson of Fogelsville is competing in a beauty pageant Saturday that's being taped for TLC's "Toddlers and Tiaras."
Beson has been gathering pageant gold since she was 18 months old.
Her mom Andrea says, "First pageant ever, she won the whole thing, and then it was just like a little whirlwind."
Since then, she's competed in numerous pageants -- both locally and around the northeast.
"Todders in Tiaras is a whole new ballgame," Andrea says.
The pageant she's competing in Saturday will be taped by TLC's hit show "Toddlers and Tiaras."
It's Lacey's first pageant that's not natural -- meaning she'll be wearing makeup, hair extensions, fake eyelashes and lipstick.
All of which has mom a little nervous...
"It's terrifying, quite honestly," Andrea says.
But little Lacey is one tranquil tot, because when she's not all dolled up and competing, she's playing. She's a rough and tumble little girl when wrestling with her two brothers. She's also a sweetheart, even when it comes to this weekend's tough competition.
"There are going to be so many girls competing, big girls and little girls, and I hope all of us win," Lacey says.
