A Bethlehem resident is planning to run for Northampton County Council.
A native of Easton, Jason Toedter says he supports keeping Gracedale in public hand and wants to generate energy savings that can then be used to offset budget cuts in social services.
“Over the past few years I have had the privilege of working on several solar fields and roof top mounted solar systems, as well as energy efficient building renovations," Toedter said. " I would like to use the experience I gained to conduct a full energy audit of Northampton County properties and buildings to establish long term energy savings.”
He is a graduate of Moravian College and Rutgers University.
He is the lead project manager at his father's engineering firm, RT Consulting and Engineering. He is also an assistant tennis coach for the women's tennis team at Moravian College.
His formal announcement will be made Saturday from 12-2 p.m. at the Machs Gute in Bethlehem.
