Ian Cantor accused of threatening to shoot wife, himself, police say

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

A Northampton County man is behind bars after police said he threatened to shoot his wife.

Police said 46-year-old Ian Cantor of the 4500 block of Kathi Drive in Bethlehem, put a gun to his wife's head Sunday around `12:30 a.m.

Cantor threatened to shoot her and himself if she called police, according to officials.

Cantor was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment.

He was taken to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.

UPDATE: Cantor was accepted into a six-month Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) program for first-time offenders on Sept. 25, 2013, on the charge of making terroristic threats.

According to court documents, Cantor successfully completed the ARD program and his record was expunged on March 24, 2014.
