Lehigh Valley celebrate the holidays

WHITEHALL, Pa. -

Hanukkah began Saturday night at sundown.

On Sunday, we caught up with Chabad of the Lehigh Valley, which was hosting a Menorah workshop and Olive Oil press demonstration at Home Depot in Whitehall.

The group said it hosted the event to help show the community a little more about the Jewish faith.

Hanukkah is an eight-day festival of light that celebrates the triumph of light over darkness.

It wraps up on December 16th.

In Northampton County, children got into the holiday spirit by being crafty and eco-friendly.

Several Lehigh Valley environmental groups got together at Illick's Mill in Bethlehem to host "green gifts from the heart."

The children had the chance to make eco-friendly gifts, and decorate their own gift wrap.

There was music, short films, and snacks.
