They love to argue and some want to be in a courtroom for a living.
The high school state mock trial competition allows students to argue like lawyers in a real life setting.
This group of students is ready to prove its case.
"It's kind of sucked me in and I've got really interested in law because of it," said Abigail Morone, a sophomore at Notre Dame High School.
This is the 2013 Statewide Mock Trial competition where a verdict in your favor could lead you to a state title.
"You never know what the other team is going to say," added Amanda Bellafatto, a senior at Easton Area High School. "You really don't. The other team could bring up a point that we had no idea about."
Each year the case is either criminal or civil.
"These are all prepared by law students who actually write the cases and then they prepare them for the students to go ahead and prosecute and defend," said Leona Myles, business department advisor at Notre Dame High School.
Then teams of eight argue.
'We're in a courtroom so it actually feels like you're attorneys and witnesses," said Morone.
Students are either the prosecution, the defense, or a witness.
"Well my dad's a lawyer and both my siblings do, and my sister wants to become one so that's how I did it," added Bellafatto.
The setting is a real Lehigh County Courtroom and actual Lehigh County judges hear the case.
Advisors say the hours are long.
"Sometimes we're at school two hours after school," added Myles. "We've worked weekends, we've worked nights. It's very intense getting ready for trail."
Student say the experience will help them become future litigators.
"When you have to think on your feet it's a lot of fun," said Bellafatto.
