A former DeSales University student, who was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl, has been cleared of the charges.
Rape-related charges were dropped against Brian Tevald, according to the Northampton County district attorney's office.
Tevald, 21, was accused last December of sexually assaulting a teen girl during a party at an off-campus residence on Montclair Avenue in Bethlehem.
The D.A.'s office said the charges were dropped based on evidence and the victim's wishes.
Tevald will serve three years of probation after admitting to giving the girl alcohol, officials said.
