Crews working to stabilize a massive sinkhole in Northampton County said Tuesday's rain put a damper on the recovery effort.
The hole opened up over the weekend near Second Street and Wilson Avenue in Bethlehem Township.
Since then, officials said it's grown to about 100 feet wide and 40 feet deep. Other smaller holes have also opened up in the area.
Engineers told 69 News that they spent Tuesday working to stabilize the sinkhole, but the rain caused it to open up even more, so they'll be back out on the scene again Wednesday.
